Massaged Miso Kale Salad with 8 Minute Eggs
Give your kale (and legs) a lux massage this week, plus a time-bending trick to accelerate your life (use only when you’re ready!)
A wave of downloads hit me this week, and I couldn’t wait to write this newsletter.
First, I wanted to clarify my goals for this space as its direction becomes clearer. I’m here for creative release, and I want to help people (and myself) unapologetically embrace slow living and radical self-care.
As I keep writing, though, I’m realizing that I want to help you, my readers, fully embrace your most authentic lives, whatever that looks like for you—without worrying about being misaligned with your own or others' highest well-being. In fact, I believe the opposite is true: when you follow your highest joy, you align more deeply with yourself, experience personal success, and contribute positively to the collective.
I want to share tools that can help you dissolve limiting beliefs that pull you away from your deepest desires—especially when those desires don’t follow society’s popular path—by replacing your worries with routines that align with the energy of the life you truly want, the one that supports the best version of you.
Sometimes, that lifestyle is slow. Slowness can feel joyful, especially if you’re healing from burnout or overstimulation and are prioritizing restoration or integration. But once the healing is done, and the bandages are off, maybe you’re ready for something different. Maybe the exhilarating energy of the world is calling you again. Perhaps today you want to move fast—embracing the energy of a hyperactive cartoon character—and tomorrow, you’ll want to retreat into a cave with your phone on silent mode. There are no wrong answers. Both experiences are valid. This is your life, after all.
I want to share tools to help you shape your life into exactly what you want it to be, because you should feel like an active co-creator in your experience, not a passive observer.
I’ve already shared tips on how to slow down:
Physically slowing your body with mindful movements like Yin Yoga, where you hold poses for long stretches of time.
Slowing your breath to calm your thoughts.
Being fully engaged in simple, everyday activities like chopping vegetables or washing dishes.
And I’ll continue sharing tips for slowing down. But maybe right now, you’re craving more speed and movement. Maybe all the quiet you’ve created has started to feel a little boring. Your nervous system has healed enough, and you're ready for some adventure, and you’re ready to learn how to energetically press the gas pedal on your life—or perhaps you’re not quite there yet but you want to save this tip in your backpocket for when that time comes.
